The Power of Your Beliefs ┃Manifesting Your Dreams

Who are you?

This is one of the greatest things that you can ever discover about yourself, because WHO you are has everything to do with WHAT you care capable of accomplishing in this life.

What is more powerful, than knowing who you are and what you can do in this life?

You may not be a social media influencer or have the grandest platform, but the magnitude to which you can still be influential and impactful in this world is soo great.

To really live your life operating in your God given purpose and to manifest the life you were destined to live, you must first know who you are.

You are purpose. You are a gift to this world.

You were created in the image of God, the creator of the universe.

The creator of you.

Therefore, you are are creator too.

With your ability to create, you have powers that supersede what you can comprehend on a conscious level.

So much of our creating is done by our subconsious mind.

You give instructions to your subcsious mind via the thoughts that you think.

Like a painter and his paintbrush, you create the masterpiece of your life with the words you speak and the thoughts you think.

What you think about, you bring about.

As a man thinketh, so is he!

Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you are right.

You have soo much power. There are so many possibilities..

Your ability to manifest the life of your dreams and to live your life operating in your God given purpose; fulfilling the purpose and plan God has for your life, lies in your DECSION to or not to believe in yourself and in your dreams.

You may not be where you want to be in life today, but you can some day IF only you believe.

Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Reference Hebrews 11:6). So if God is the ultimate creator, and we were created in his image, then FAITH is required for us to manifest!

God created heaven and earth by speaking things into existence. He said, “Let there be light” and there was light.”(Reference Genesis Chapter 1). We can speak life into our dreams and ideas with our words and manifest with our belief and hard work to bring it into existence.

Discover who you are and what you are capable of. Because, when you understand who you are and what you can do, that is when you can be most effective, influential and impactful in our world. That is when you can have BIG FAITH that is required to make your dreams your reality. But, it all begins with you knowing who you are and what you are capable of. It starts with you daring to dream. It starts with YOU deciding to believe and make faith moves.

How to Overcome Limiting Beliefs That Are Preventing You From Pursuing Your Goals and Manifesting Your Dream

“The only limits you have are the limits you believe.” – Wayne Dyer

The number one thing that holds most people back from pursuing and achieving their goals are limitations and limiting beliefs. A limitation is anyTHING (person, place or circumstance) that prevents you from pursuing your goals. Limiting beliefs are recurring, negative thoughts or false beliefs that prevent you from pursuing your goals.

Do you have a goal that you’ve been wanting to accomplish or dream you desire to manifest, but you haven’t quite gotten around to taking any action steps because of fear, doubt, insecurity? Or, maybe you’ve been procrastinating because you lack the necessary funding, time, education or resources needed to pursue the goal. Anything you can identify as an excuse, a reason for procrastinating, not taking a leap of faith and chasing your dream is a limitation or a limiting belief.

Moment of transparency. One of my goals for 2020 and 2021 has been to build an online audience organically. One thing that is a MUST if you want to be successful in building an online audience is consistency. So, whether it’s going live one month or once a week, you’ve gotta be consistent if you want to generate legitimate, sustainable results. Although I’ve been hanging out in these internet streets for a minute and some change now, I have not been consistent in both showing up and providing value. Sometimes I would show up consistently for a period of time, but I would post just to post without providing any real value. I can give you a list of reasons, or dare I say, excuses, as to why I was not consistent. But, I’ll just share one of them with you.

One reason I was not consistent is because I felt discouraged. I felt discouraged because I did not see overnight results. I would post and post and felt as if I was not being seen or heard. It quickly became about the number of likes and comments, rather than the overall purpose of posting empowering content. I was also trying to copy what I saw other people doing, rather than discovering my own lane and walking in that. Can you relate to this? Have you ever felt discouraged because you felt unnoticed, or as if your hard work or effort wasn’t good enough? Or, maybe that your time, effort, money or energy well spent wasn’t yielding results fast enough, if at all.. There are so many things that can cause us to shy away from taking the next step towards our goals or from ever getting started. But, here’s what I want you to know: Delayed does not mean denied. A slow start does not mean that you won’t finish. And, nothing is wrong with a small beginning. Read that again.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff. The reason you’re really here is to learn what you can do to overcome your limitations and limiting beliefs, so that you can start pursuing your goals and manifesting your dreams! Here we go..

Step 1

Write out and visualize your goals as if you have already achieved them.

Step 2

Identify your WHY Factor. Your Why Factor is your overall reason for pursuing the goal. Think about what will happen once you’ve achieve the goal. Think about who it will impact and how. Also, think about what happens if you never face your fear, step outside of your comfort zone and pursue the goal. As you proceed though, it’s best to focus more on your WHY and all of the amazing things that WILL come as a result of you finding the courage to pursue your goal and manifest your dream rather than what won’t happen.

If your WHY does not motivate you to pursue your goal and to keep going when things get tough, then your WHY is not significant enough.

Step 3

For each goal, make a list of every limitation and limiting belief that you can think of.

Step 4

For each limitation identify and write out an alternate route for reaching your goal OR of baby steps that you can take to work through that limitation.

Step 5

For each limiting belief, come up with a positive affirmation. Whether you have one affirmation, 20 affirmations or something in-between, consider doing any of the following:

  • Get a notebook and dedicate it solely to writing out your affirmations daily. Each day as you write out your affirmations, speak them aloud with authority and conviction.
  • Print or write out your affirmations on sticky notes and post them on your bathroom mirror, front door or in a place that you frequent the most throughout your day.
  • Keep a list of your affirmations in your pocket or purse and whenever the negative thoughts/beliefs begin to bombard your mind, pull out your list and begin to read and quote your affirmations aloud if you can.
  • Memorize your positive affirmations, and recite them multiple throughout your day, daily.
  • Each morning and night, stand in front of a mirror, look yourself in the eyes and recite your positive affirmations. This is a solid way to boost your self-esteem and build your confidence. I’m speaking from experience too!

As you take these steps and incorporate positive affirmations into your daily routine, remember that it is okay if you don’t FEEL or BELIEVE what you are writing and speaking right away.

The purpose of incorporating affirmations into your daily routine is because it is an effective way of transforming your mindset and therefore, getting rid of those false beliefs. What we are really doing is working to transform your overall self belief system. Because, how you perceive yourself and how you perceive your ability to achieve your goals maters. I believe in you, and I believe that you have what it takes to slay your goal. But, that doesn’t matter if YOU don’t believe in you.

Please note that the affirmation tips above are not just for limiting beliefs that are about you specifically, for example, your physical appearance or your skills. The tips can be used for recurring negative thoughts or beliefs that relate to having a poverty mindset, lack of resources, etc.

Even though I have felt discouraged about reaching one of my goals, I have not given up. I have continued to think positive, speak positive and to take action steps towards my goal. I decided to keep going AFTER I took time to rest, refocus and restart. In fact, I took to find my lane and am forging ahead on a new path, knowing that even thought it might not look like much now, someday, it will manifest into something great!

Remember: It is okay to reset, restart, and refocus as many times as you need to. You have the passion and purpose for a reason, don’t give up on it before you’ve even started. And, if you have started, keep going!

The Art of Getting Started.. Pushing Past Fear and Setting Up a Business

It all started back when I was a little girl. I had a wild imagination; I always created my own books, played school, played doctor, ran my own businesses.. All of this, while playing with my toys, as a little girl, in my own little world.

Fast forward to age 25 and thinking about making my big, impossible looking dream, a reality. When I thought of it, my mind became consumed with countless thoughts of insecurity and unworthiness. I did not feel qualified or ready to start my online coaching business.

Fast forward to age 26; I was coming out of a 2 year relationship that shifted my perspective of my future. The breakup was like a turning point.I was done settling for less than I deserved or made me happy and I became determined to BE HAPPY no matter what. Not just in my love life, but in EVERY area of my life. It was time to level up spiritually, mentally, emotionally, financially and time to MANIFEST my big, impossible looking dreams. Including, starting my online coaching business.

So, I finally decided to start my business, but I had no clue where to begin. I watched many YouTube videos, attended seminars, read books and blogs and learned tips from many business startup coaches across the web. I took the long route, and it was challenging figuring out what exactly applied to me and the type of business I wanted to start. As I learned, I began to get things set up. Finally, I had about 85% of what I needed, set up. But mentally, I wasn’t ready to launch. I was afraid.

FEAR is the one thing that stops most people from ever pursuing their goals and living their dreams. They fail to achieve their goals, because they don’t even start. That would’ve been my story, had I not pushed pushed my fear; thoughts of inadequecy and got started anyway. When it comes to pushing past fear, I believe you must do two things:

You must understand that FEAR is false evidence appearing real. Fear is an illusion. The more we focus on our fears, the greater and more intense it becomes and the more power IT has to prevent us from pursuing our goals. Take back your power, by focusing your attention on the positives: your experience, skills, creativity, and the things that make you unique! That is your leverage. That is your advantage. That is what qualifies YOU and is what will attract your ideal clients to you.

You must FEEL the fear and do it anyway. Sometimes, the fear won’t go away, even if you do shift your focus to the positives, consistently. You’ve got to continue focusing on the positive as much as possible and take action. As you take action, you will begin to gain momentum. Gain momentum and continue to build!

Because I allowed my fears to dictate my actions; or inaction; I procrastinated and made excuses for a long time, for why I was not yet launching my business. In fact, after I attained my 3 coaching certifications; I began to look for more certifications I could get. Why? Because, I feared that people would think I was not qualified, experienced enough or mature enough to run a coaching business.

To push past the fear, sometimes you’ve got to keep it REAL with yourself. Here’s what I did and what I still do, to push past my fears (the thoughts always come back..!):

  • I sit and write down a list of all my accomplishments: certifications, degrees, life experiences, career experience, etc.
  • When I look in the mirror, I recite positive affirmations! I remind myself who I am and who God has created me to be.
  • I shift my focus to my WHY and remind my self that, my WHY is soo big that my feelings of inadequecy or imperfection doesn’t even matter at this point.
  • I study my vision board and vision book, and I visualize MY future and what it will look like AFTER I take action and pursue my goals and begin to live my life operating in my God given purpose.

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t have it ALL together. BUT, I was able to START. And, that is a point that many dreamers don’t get to. They fail to get started because of FEAR. Of course, there are other reasons that factor in, but FEAR is one of the most common reasons why. I am on a mission to empower creative women to pursue their big + impossible looking goals, which is why I will be transparent in sharing my journey. I’ve only just begun.

Conquer Your Limiting Beliefs

The human mind is a battle field. Every day we are tempted with negative thoughts and challenging situations. Some days we fight and conquer, other days we succumb. Many people live day to day without the realization that it is up to them to fight and conquer their limitations and limiting beliefs.

IF we want to SLAY our goals, we must make the conscious decision to confront and conquer our limitations and limiting beliefs, every day.

I am going to share with you HOW you can begin to SHIFT and TRANSFORM your mindset; from a negative to a positive success “growth” mindset, that will position you to confront and conquer your limitations and limiting belief.

A limitation is anything that serves as an excuse, to justify not taking strategic action to pursue your goals. Example: I don’t have enough time or money to start my business.

Limiting beliefs are negative thoughts that you allow to justify not taking strategic action to pursue your goals. Example: I am not good enough or qualified for people to take me seriously.

Here are the facts about Limitations & Limiting Beliefs:

We ALL battle negative thoughts and challenging situations everyday.

It is within our control to combat negative thoughts and to perceive our challenging situations in a positive way.

It is possible, but it also takes practice to attain and maintain a positive mindset and optimistic perspective in life.

A positive success “growth” mindset and an optimistic perspective in life WILL help you attract and take action (steps) that are in direct alignment with the goals you wish to achieve. It will also help you ATTRACT more positive opportunities and experiences into your life.

No matter how positive/optimistic you are, you will still confront negative thoughts and challenging situations. BUT you will be better equipt to GROW through it, because of the positive success “growth” mindset that you have.

A positive success “growth” mindset will allow you to SEE your challenges (negative situations), setbacks, etc. as a learning opportunity, as a setup in disguise, an opportunity to recalibrate, to realign and more.

You decide, each time you are faced with a negative thought or challenging situation, whether or not you will allow it to control you OR if you will confront and conquer it.

The purpose of this blog post is to present you with practical tips and tools that you can use to CONFRONT and CONQUER your limitations and limiting beliefs.

If you have decided to take strategic action to confront and conquer your limitations and limiting beliefs, congratulations! You have just made a decision that will ultimately change the trajectory of your life. Because now, you are about to WORK to transform your mindset.

By implementing the following tips into your daily routine, you will begin to SEE results in your THINKING and in your overall perspective of your self, you circumstance and life itself.

What can you do to TRANSFORM your Mindset?

Meditation – You can find a number of guided and non-guided, verbal and subliminal an subliminal meditations and visualization exercises on YouTube for a variety of topics such as anxiety, stress, depression, mental or emotional healing, relaxation, energy boosting, self-love and confidence, client attraction and so much more!

Affirm Yourself – Affirmations can be extremely powerful IF you know how to utilize them in a way that will work for YOU. This is important, because many people just think of affirmations as a cliche’ quote that sounds good on the back of a book or as your caption for your Instagram and Facebook post. But, affirmations are so POWERFUL when you put them to work!

Here are a few ways you can get AFFIRMATIONS to work for you:

  • Choose 5 to 10 affirmations to write and speak out loud; with conviction/enthusiasm DAILY
  • Create affirmation Post IT Notes and to stick on your bathroom mirror
  • Download the Sticky Note app & post affirmations on your Laptop and Cellphone screen savers
  • Hack your social media news feeds by follow multiple pages that post multiple affirmations throughout the day
  • Listen to affirmations while meditating AND as you sleep *there are 8 hr affirmations on YouTube* This is a great way to re-program and transform your mind (subliminal) without having to do anything but SLEEP!

Move – Get your body moving! And while you do so, affirm yourself! You can do this a variety of way; but I’ll share what I do: I go to the gym, if I have a lot on my mind and I walk a mile around the track. As I walk, I rehearse the affirmations (goals) that I write out daily as I walk. If I’m feel low confidence, I affirm myself with affirmations specific to confidence. Sometimes I pray as I walk. Prayer is also a form of meditation.

Often times, when I’m battling thoughts of anxiety or depression, I go for a walk in the park and affirm myself. This way, I’m getting that Vitamin D and being around people without having one on one contact or having to socialize helps me during those times vs shutting myself indoors or finding comfort in my bed sheets. All I’m saying is, FIND what works for you and do it consistently.

Journal – This is a great way to clear your mind. You can make a list, you can keep it short or you can keeping writing until you feel a sense of clarity or relief. There doesn’t have to be any particular rule or format to follow. The awesome thing about it, is that it works.

Read self-help, personal growth and development books on Mindset. Authors and Experts I recommend studying are: Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor and Dr Carol Dweck. I also have a book called Empower You! Mindset Transformation: A Daily Devotional for the Mind that is a 70 Day Devotional geared towards shifting and shaping your mindset from a negative mindset to a positive, success “growth” mindset. Inside my book, I include a full list of authors/experts and books on mindset, success and personal development, that I have read and studied. In fact, everything that I share with you is based on what I have learned and applied to my own life.

My best advice is to choose multiple of these to try and begin rotating them throughout your week. Let’s say you choose to start meditating and journaling. You don’t have to meditate or journal every day.

By implementing a few of these activities into your daily routine, I believe that you will begin to not only become more self-aware, but you will develop a greater peace of mind, a positive success “growth” mindset and a more optimistic perspective in life!

Manifestation Day

Before you plan & take action, you need to have a clear vision of where you want to go and what you want to achieve!

If you have dreams & goals that you WANT to achieve, but STRUGGLE to believe that it can happen for you, try this!

Set aside 1 day and call it Manifestation Day. This is the day where you will TEST DRIVE YOUR DREAM.

Take time to write over your goals and pray over them!

Take a look at your vision board and make a short-list of ALL the goals you have that you can test drive. For example: IF you have a photo of your dream car on your vision board, this is the day you will visit the car lot.. learn about the car, touch the car, inhale that new car scent, sit in your car, take it for a spin!

Another example: Your goal is to buy your first home. So, go look at houses! Attend a few open houses. Buy 1 item th you you want to put in your home (like a small home decor item).

I reccomend having a Manifestation Day because it takes visualization to the next level. It can also enhance motivation to TAKE STRATEGIC ACTION to achieve the goal.

Now, let’s say you have goals that aren’t tangible; for instance self-confidence or peace of mind! For theses, I suggest 2 things:

1) Customize your laptop and cellphone screensaver and wallpaper with an image or rotating images that represent (reflects or reminds you of) that goal.

2) Hack your social media feeds! Go follow 5 – 10 pages, at minimum, of pages that reflect your goal. I advise doing this for your tangible goals as well.

Example: My dream car is a Black Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.. So, I’ve followes multiple pages associated with Black Jeep Wranglers and now I see photos of my dream car pretty often as I scroll through my feed.

Use Pinterest as your virtual vision board!

Last month, I set aside 1 Saturday where I went I wrote out my top goals for 2020, prayed over them and then I took them for a test drive. I went to the car lot and learned about my dream car and took photos beside it.

Another goal of mine is to become a homeowner and to move closer to my job. So, I spent a couple hours house hunting and even found a home where, as soon as I saw it, I yelled “That’s it! That’s the one!” This home literally matched what I imagine in my mind during meditation and visualization exercises! It was an exciting moment.
