Practical Tips for Manifesting Your Dreams and Achieving Your Goals

The New Year and the New Decade we’ve all been anticipating is finally here. I don’t know about you, but I feel like God, the creator of our universe has gifted us with a fresh start; a new opportunity to manifest our dreams and achieve our goals. Some of the things that we’d hoped we’d accomplish in 2019 didn’t get done, for one reason or another. But, today, I encourage you to shift your focus onto this present moment . There’s nothing you can do about the past, but you can do a whole lot about your future. You are creating your future now, in the moment you have right here, right now!

As we begin to shift our focus onto this amazing opportunity we have NOW to create our ideal futures, I want to share with you a few tips that will help you manifest your dreams and achieve your goals in 2020.

Practical Tips for Manifesting Your Dreams & Achieving Your Goals

In no particular order..

  • Act as if you already have it
  • Visualize
  • Meditate before bed and when you awake in the morning
  • Write and speak your goals daily
  • Listen to affirmations as you sleep
  • Keep a gratitude journal
  • Script in a manifestation journal
  • Surround yourself with and learn from people who are already where you want to be
  • Use a vision board or vision book
  • Set goal that are in alignment with your ideal lifestyle
  • Set goals, break them down into small steps, create a plan and THEN take action
  • Set goals that YOU want to achieve NOT goals that sound good or that someone else thinks you should pursue
  • Pursue your goals with passion or not at all
  • Dream car? Take it for test drive and get a picture with you sitting in it and add the picture to your vision board or as a screensaver on your phone.
  • Don’t have a vision board or always on the go? Try this. Have the screensaver on your cellphone, desktop or laptop rotate between photos of things that would be on your vision board. This is a great alternative to having a vision board, because it will be in front of you ALL the time right?
  • Dream house? Take a tour of your dream home, even if you’re not ready to buy yet and take a picture standing in front or inside of it. Add it to your vision board, vision book or save it as your screensaver.
  • Be mindful of your mindset. More specifically; the thoughts you think and the words you speak. Positive vibes only! Here’s a trick: When you catch yourself saying “I can’t” or “I don’t have..” Do this: 1) Stop yourself mid-sentence or as soon as you become aware OR 2) Correct yourself mid-sentence simply by adding “yet” at the end. For example, “I don’t have enough money.. yet!” Remember, the words you speak are just as important as the thoughts you think and the actions you take when manifesting your dreams!

Manifest is defined as clearly shown or visible. 2020 is the year for your goals & dreams to be clear shown or visible. This is the year to manifest.

I entered 2020 knowing my word of the year was going to be MANIFEST. On New Years Eve, I attended a church service and guess what happened? The pastor preached a sermon stating that 2020 is the year for Reaping! My goodness, if that didn’t make me want to jump out of my seat and run a few laps around the building.. Listen, that was all the confirmation I needed. If this is the year of reaping, then that means that 2020 is the year to see results – clearly shown or visible. This is the year to manifest! However, you can only REAP what you have sown! You can only manifest BY investing in yourself and in your future. You can only manifest by putting in the work necessary to reap the benefits.

This is your year my friend, to manifest your dream and to achieve some goals! If you have a clear vision and are ready to take action, then the tips I have shared above with HELP you MANIFEST! But remember, you’ll only reap what you sow!

How NOT to Give Up On Your 2020 Goals

It’s common knowledge that during that at the start of each new year, many people, all over the world set new goals and new year resolutions. It’s also commonly known that most start of strong, but instead of gaining momentum, most people fall off around March and April. Many of us know this to be true and can raise our hand it admittance that we are guilty of this too.. giving up on our goal or resolution. Have you ever stopped to wonder why so many individuals continue to go through the cycle of starting and stopping when it comes to pursuing their goals? Because, if it’s one thing I know, is that LIFE happens to us ALL. No one Is immune to unexpected challenges, roadblocks and setbacks occurring. That’s just life right. Yet, some or should I say ALL of the most successful people in the world have faced multiple challenges at some point in their lives. The difference between them and everyone else is that they kept going!

In 2020, I encourage you to keep going! But, I’m not here to encourage or motivate you. I’m here to empower you to keep going! So, I’ll tell you what you want to know. Let’s face it, it’s easy to give up on our goals when things get tough or uncomfortable. But, how do you NOT give up on your goal? How do you KEEP going?

You plan.

You need to have a plan.

Not just any plan. You need to have a strategic plan.

Having a strategic plan of action means that you have a plan for HOW you will KEEP going WHEN roadblocks and setbacks present themselves.

I promise you, roadblocks and setback will arise. And, that is when many people get discouraged. BUT, when you have a strategic plan, you have a flexible plan that gives you options. Meaning, IF you plan A does not work, you have a plan B, C and D.

You are more likely to keep going when challenges arise when you are prepared in advance.

A few tips for writing out your goals – strategically!

1) Keep a journal specifically for writing out your goals daily.

2) Get as specific as you possibly can.

3) Write your goals as if you already have what you desire to manifest.

4) Connect emotionally to what you are writing. It helps to speak it out loud and to visualize how you’ll feel when you get it! Bring those positive emotions and energy into the present moment.

The benefit of writing your goals daily is that it helps keep you focused, motivated and accountable.

4 Ways to Manifest Your Dreams in 2020

Now that we have finally entered a new year and a new decade.. 2020.. how do you feel? I know, many people have been anticipating the new year. For many of us, 2019 was a year of lessons learned. What makes 2020 so exciting, is that fact that those of us who learned and experienced growth from our 2019 challenges are ready.. We are prepared to take on this years challenges and win! Let’s face it, we will no doubt experience new challenges and maybe a few setbacks and disappointments BUT we have also transitioned into a new season.. of abundance! This is the year to secure all the blessings with our name on it. Last years challenge was attached with purpose. I promise you IF you take strategic action, this year will be your year.

Whatever goals you had in 2019 and prior that you did not achieve.. it’s not too late. But, you’ve got to intentionally decide to do something different THIS year, if you do not want a repeat of not achieving the goal. Some of you have been planning to write and publish your book for years now. Many of you have business ideas, a career you have yet to pursue, something that you’ve been dreaming, but have not pursued because of doubt, insecurity, a lack of money, motivation, etc. BUT timeout for excuses. It’s time to take strategic action and manifest those dreams! Here’s a few things to help:

4 Things To Help You Manifest Your Dreams

1) You’ve got to have the right mindset! You have to believe that what you desire to manifest is possible. You have to believe that you are capable of manifesting it, with the help of God the creator of the universe and the universe itself.

Having the right mindset is not just believing your dream is possible, but it’s thinking, speaking and taking positive action! Develop an awareness of the thoughts you think consistently. Be mindful of what thoughts you entertain in addition to what you allow yourself to indulge in via television, radio, social media, etc.

Your mindset is the single most important part of manifestation. The thoughts you consistently think must be in alignment with what you want. What you think about you bring about!

2) Get clear about what your ideal life looks like. Get specific about which goals you want to achieve. Identify, what you need to do; what goals do you need to set and what sets do you need to take to get where you want to go? You must know where you want to go, because this is the foundation of your strategy (game-plan!)

3) You need to have the right strategy! You have to have a game-plan. This is the what and how. Your game-plan tells you what are you going to do and how are you going to do it. Think of this as your roadmap. Without it, you’re just going through the motions of life, without any intention of going anywhere specific. Sad to say, many people are living like this and reach the end of their life with many regrets. Don’t let that be you.

4) You need someONE & someTHING to hold you accountable. You can use a vision board, vision-book or planner as your THING and you can hire a coach or mentor to guide you and a family member or friend to hold you accountable. The key to choosing your someONE is to find someone is, like you, on a journey to get where they are trying to go OR someone who is already where you are trying to get to .

7 Day Goal Success Challenge: Day 6 – Identify Motivating Factors

Welcome to Day 6 of the Goal Succeess Challenge!

Today is all about identifying your motivating factors.

This is not that same concept as your WHY factor. This is where you will identify which specific tools will motivate you.

Your motivating factors should remind you of and reinforce your WHY factor.

Remember, your WHY factor is simply your core reason for pursuing your goal – which should be significant enough to motivate you to keep going, even when the going gets tough.

Your motivating factor(s) are going to be something tangible that will REMIND you of your WHY factor.

There are many things you can use as motivating factors! Here are a few examples I use:

Vision Board

I have 2 vision boards. The one above sits on my dresser directly across from my bed. I usually do my meditations before I go to sleep at night, so its nice having my vision board right there to look at when I’m having difficulty focusing my wandering thoughts.

My best advice would be to place your vision board in a place where you’ll see it the most often! I’m away from home most of the time, but when I’m home, I’m in my office or bedroom the most. So, I have my 1 – 5 yr vision board in my office area and my 1yr vision board in my bedroom.

Journals

I have 3 journals. One, I use for scripting (writing your goals and dreams in presentense, as if is happening in that moment or already has happened!

The 2nd journal is my Gratitude journal.

The 3rd journal I use for writing out my goals. So, back in December of 2016, I attended a 3 day workshop called Publish a Book and Grow Rich! I learned a lot about writing and publishing a book, but I also learned a lot about mindset transformation and manifestation. One of the things I learned, I’ve been doing ever since the day I learned it.. Writing out my goals in the form of “I am” and “I have.” As, it was taught to me, we’re writing out our captains orders “captian & crew. The idea behind that, in short, is tht the act of writing out your goals is your concious mind (the captain) giving direction to your subconscious mind (the crew). Your subconscious mind is what you can call your “higher-self” … but, more on that another time.

A few tips for writing out your goals:

* Hand write your goals daily.

* It’s okay if you miss a day(s) in betweeen. Just get back to it when you can. Keep in mind that consistency is key.

* Record the date each time you write out your goals. It’s a simple way to hold yourself accountable.

* Use a journal thats small enough to fit in your purse or to carry with you on the go. If you’re like me, it’s easy to use business as an excuse – keeping it with eliminates the excuse and allows you to get it in when you can.

* Read them out loud with emotion!

The purpose of identifying motivating factors is to help you stay focused on your WHAT (goal) & your WHY(the reason why you want to achieve your goal). As you can see, I use many different things to reinforce my WHY factor. I encourage you to use 1 or as many as you feel you need. I have found these to be helpful, especially when I’m in traffic… I pull out my vision book and remind myself that even being stuck in traffic is a necessary “unfortunate” but necessary part of the process. And, then I pull out my gratitude journal and jot down a few things that I’m grateful for. When pursuing your goals and manifesting your dreams, it’s important to maintain a positive mindset as much as possible.

7 Day Goal Success Challenge: Day 5 – Identify Your Why

Welcome to Day 5 of our Goal Success Challenge!

Today is all about identifying your WHY factor!

This will be the foundation of your goal. Every action step you take should be in alignment with your WHY factor. By identifying your WHY, you are identifying the core reason WHY you want to set, pursue and achieve your goal. Ask yourself the following questions:


* Who do I want to achieve my goal for?

* What will happen when I achieve my goal?

* Who will my achievement benefit and how?

*Why do I want to achieve this goal?

Knowing your WHY is a game changer! Many people give up on their goals because they haven’t set the right kind of goals. Meaning; they did not set a goal that is in alignment with their WHY factor. Your WHY is the driving force behind why you START & WHY you Keep going! Take time to Identify your why by asking yourself the questions above.
